I don’t always block my hats but for hats with texture like this, it’s a must 😍 What is blocking you ask? Basically you get your knits wet, and fry them in the right position😉

I HAVE been knitting I swear lol just not as much knitting time lately with an almost 6m old. And since knitting is a slow craft I don’t have a tone to post 😉 but here is a hat I have been working on for my little brothers new fiancé 💕 (congrats @sred1989 😍)
It’s my Wanderer hat pattern and the ribbing takes forever haha but it’s worth it for that double brim 😍

I’m very much enjoying using this pima cotton from @polkadotcreek yarns.

Ok. So I knit this hat over 2 years ago with yarn from a dyer who has blocked me for being me haha 😆 so I haven’t shared this project yet. I knit it for my husband but he didn’t wear it often as it felt itchy on his forehead, so this year for Christmas I lined it with fleece for him 💕

The pattern is The Oslo Hat by @petiteknit

I’m working on some sock samples for an upcoming class in January and I definitely like stripy socks best. They are just fun!

It felt like a blink and realized I haven’t posted in almost a month haha September was busy! Soaking in as much baby as I can before she grows so big. 😭 It was also my husbands, youngest son and my birthday in September. Baby shower, family pictures and a town dance, I finished a pair of fingerless mitts and started another. Canning, garden harvest, yard clean up, home schooling and now it’s already October! Love my busy life 💕

First off just let me say that working with this yarn from @symfonieyarns has been so enjoyable. Next DK weight sweater quantity I need I and definitely to get some of their Luna line. The silk content in it makes us feel so luxurious ♥️

Twisted Ear-warmer.

Materials:
-4mm 16 inch circular needles or DPNs
- 1 Skien of Symfonie yarns Luna
(200 yards DK weight yarn)
-Darning needle

Cast on 65 stitches, I used a long tail cast on.

Row 1. Purl all stitches, turn.

Row 2. Knit all stitches then stretch your row around your needles to join and continue working in the round. (If you are using DPNs you can skip the first 2 rows)

Round 3 until end. Knit every stitch all around until you have approximately 5 feet of yarn remaining. (The tube should be approximately 24 inches long.)

Cast off your stitches and sew up as shown in this video.

Did you get up to any knitting this weekend?? I got to cast on with this gorgeously soft yarn from @symfonieyarns Of course I picked this stunning golden yellow color called Honey and the Luna line of DK yarn is 75% merino 25% silk, so soft!!

I don’t normally wind my balls by hand but it was too nice outside to not slow down and enjoy the sunshine for a bit ☀️

My video review of this @lanternmoonhandcrafted Heirloom needle set can be found on my latest reel. For those who like to read instead here it’s comes….. 😉

The Heirloom interchangeable needle set comes in a beautifully embroidered Khadi silk case! It contains 10 pairs of 5 inch needle tips from 3 to 8 mm; 24, 42 & 40 inch nylon coated stainless steel swivel cords; 5 tassel stitch markers; 4 wooden end caps and 2 long handles tightening tools.

The needles are made of ebony wood with a liquid silk finish and they are SO enjoyable to knit with! The yarn slides over them so smoothly unlike any other needles I have used before!

Using the tightening tools made connecting the needle to the swivel cord so easy and got them on so tight that I had to use the tool to take them apart. They definitely won’t come loose while knitting.

The 24k gold coated needle ends connected with the cords seamlessly, the yarn did not snag at all and the swivel cords were very flexible.

There were extra empty pockets in the case to add your own accessories with even a skinny pocket to put a darning needle in.

Overall I would definitely recommend this set, it is great for garment and accessory knits. If you knit alot of hats I would get the Ancestry set that has 4 inch needles and a 16 inch cord.
