The CA-NA-DA slouch is a great pattern for an adventurous beginner!
You will need to work a folded brim as well as read a color work chart. (Don’t worry, it’s easy!) The pattern calls for approx 95 yards in your main color and 35 yards in the contrast color. You can use doubled worsted weight yarn instead of chunky, just make sure you match gauge.
If you wish to make a worsted weight version, this chart can be used 3 times around with the stitch count from some of my other patterns like: Moosey Slouchy, Kodiak Kisses & Maple Pride.
